My Work

I’m a Writer, Editor and Communications Specialist with extensive experience of writing, editing, strategic communications, digital content creation and stakeholder engagement, across a number of platforms in the public, private and third sectors.

As a freelance journalist I’ve worked for a number of brilliant UK publications including The Royal Television Society, The GuardianLittle White Lies, Emerald StreetScreen Daily, The Daily Star, Stylist.co.uk and Haringey People, examples of which you can find below.

I have extensive experience of writing, editing and commissioning content specifically for newsletters. I ran the PPA Radar newsletter for a year, where I interviewed publishing industry giants like Empire’s Terri White and WGSN’s Carla Buzasi.

The pandemic took me down a slightly different, but very fulfilling, path than my previous roles.

I wrote and edited City Hall’s Business Bulletin for nine months, during my time at the Greater London Authority (GLA). I also edited and contributed to the Haringey Business Bulletin during my time at Haringey Council from 2020-21. From June 2021 I was the Senior Communications Officer for London’s Recovery Programme, a partnership between the GLA and London Councils. While there, I wrote and edited the London Recovery Newsletter, as well as leading on all thing communications.

I’ve held a similar position in various policy areas at the GLA over the intervening years, including Good Growth, Economic Development, Internal Communications, as well as Children and Young Londoners - where I helped deliver the communications around the Mayor of London successfully supporting 10,000 children into mentoring.

Since October 2024, I’ve been the Communications Manager for the London Resilience Unit, where I work on strategic communications for a variety of community audiences, including businesses, faith and belief, third sector and voluntary, as well as a local communities. The Unit’s role is to help to keep London prepared and resilient to acute incidents like fire and flood, as well as longer-term impacts such as the climate crisis.

I write and edit the monthly London Resilience Newsletter, with over 1000 subscribers.

I recently collaborated with Dr Ali Malik at Leeds University to create a series of guides, aimed at helping break down specific risks and make them more easily understandable to a community audience. You can access them here:

I publish a monthly newsletter about millennial misadventures in grief, life and love, called The Good Grief Guide.

In my past lives I’ve been an Assistant Director and Make-up Artist for films and TV shows, a Marketing Executive at an Advertising Agency, and a confidence coach…and I’m not done yet. I perform stand-up comedy from time to time.

I’m currently writing my first novel.
